Originally from Shropshire, Martin moved to Jersey in 1999. Prior to qualifying as an Advocate in Jersey, Martin qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and a Solicitor of the Republic of Ireland (currently non-practising). He is also a Chartered Governance Professional (ACIS).
He is a thorough and results focused lawyer who enjoys providing his clients with advice and support in all aspects of civil and criminal law including all and any family matters, personal injury, employment, health and safety and small business matters both company and commercial. Martin regularly appears in all of the island’s courts and is authorised to act as Duty Advocate in the Magistrate’s and Youth Courts and also to provide out of hours advice to those in police custody.
Martin is a governor of a Jersey based children's charity and is also a member of the Charities Appeal Tribunal.
In his spare time he enjoys history, rugby (although no longer playing), sailing (RYA Day Skipper) and is an enormous bookworm.
